ACTION! Is the new “in” word in Cyprus after the arrival of Nicolas Cage, receiver of Academy Award and Golden Globe.
Nicolas Cage is visiting the island for the shooting of the $24m film Jiu Jitsu. It will be the first high profile production in arts film, where Cage and Alain Moussi team up to fight an alien.
At the same time another Hollywood movie is being shot starring William
(Billy) Baldwin. An action adventure film called SOS – Survive or Sacrifice.
All these are due to the initiative of Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency film in Cyprus (Invest Cyprus) who are promoting Cyprus to the film industry providing producers with incentives, cash rebates and/or tax credits.
“The aim of these projects is not only to produce entertaining and enjoyable films but also to enhance Cyprus profile in the world of cinema” said Altadium.
